Everyone understands that being a doctor is never easy, there are multiple things to deal with both personally and professionally. The journey to becoming a doctor starts after the completion of grade 12 and depends completely on our performance in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG.
I had wished to become a doctor since I was a kid, but little did I know the process would be so difficult.
We need to go through multiple strategies to prepare, attend the exam and perform well, then next step is to sit for counseling having no idea what the future holds for us, and finally, complete the admission. But hold on, this is just 10% of the total journey, oh I mean the real journey begins now.
Before entering the life of being a medico, I would like to shed light upon the life of a NEET aspirant, how is it to see almost all your friends enter the next stage of their lives, and you await your allotment results.
I am an aspirant who wrote the entrance twice and the second attempt was a successful one, but this journey has been exhausting. It drained me both physically and psychologically.
There are 4 major subjects to prepare for the entrance namely Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics. Every aspirant will have their own strategy and strength, but in a corner of our mind, no matter how confident we look will always have a feeling like there's something that I have missed, am I ready to be a medico, will I be able to perform well, can I stand up to everyone's expectations. With all these anticipations, we finally find ourselves on the D day.
The mental state of everyone on the day of the exam is extremely different and extremely unpredictable.
After everything, we come out of the exam hall and look at our folks, thinking about how to answer them if we haven't performed well.
Post all this comes the worst part, THE WAIT!
